I set a couple reading challenges for myself this year (in addition to some monthly ones) and with only 3 months of 2020 to go, it’s time to see how I’m doing!
I’ve got 3 year-long challenges that I set for myself: my “chosen TBR”, my Quarantine TBR, and the alphabet challenge. Here’s the progress I’ve made so far:
At the end of 2019, I asked for you all to give me a number so I could make a (manageable) TBR of books to read in 2020, narrowed down from my Goodreads TBR. I chose 10 books based on those numbers (according to where they were on the list):
I never intentionally set out to complete the alphabet challenge but each year it seems my reading leads me that way!
Also, here’s a sneak peek at my progress so far for the GoodReadance Challenge!
The alphabet challenge is where you read a book with a title that starts with each letter of the alphabet. I completed this challenge in 2017 (check out my wrap-up post) and in 2018 I did a twist on the challenge with authors’ last names.
I still have books from 2018 awaiting reviews (see my shelf here) so time for some more mini reviews! A lot of these ones had been on my TBR pile but they had the added benefit of helping with my self-imposed reading challenge last year – an author for every letter of the alphabet! Here are C, V, X, and O 🙂

This wasn’t quite what I expected and there’s not much of a resolution but still an enjoyable, trippy read. It’s an odd set-up of mysterious tapes that have passed through many hands, and someone who’s determined not to let the story they tell get out. Picked it up because it mentioned libraries and linguistics, two of my favourite things!
