Challenges: #PondathonII, Let’s Grow a Garden!

I’ve followed The Quiet Pond for a while but I didn’t join their readathon last time around so I’m so excited that it’s back for a second year!

If you’ve never visited The Quiet Pond, I highly recommend it. Led by CW, Joce, and Skyw, it’s a beautiful immersive world with “an ongoing story about your frequent visits to the Pond and your magical pond friends who live there”. CW creates beautiful art of this pond and all its inhabitants and it’s so lovely to visit every time.

What is the Pondathon?

Pondathon II is a story-driven and gardening-themed readathon hosted and run by CW from The Quiet Pond. The aim of the Pondathon II readathon is to read books to earn plants and decorate your own little garden so that we can restore the forest together. Information about Joining the Pondathon

You can sign-up to the Pondathon II readathon here. The readathon starts on January 10th, 2022 and ends on December 11th, 2022; sign-ups are open across the duration of the readathon.
You also get to create your own Pond animal character for the Pondathon, and create your own character card!
If you’d like, create a blog post, bookstagram post, booktube video, Twitter thread, or whatever medium you wish, with ‘#PondathonII’ in the title or your tweet. Share the character you have created and your character card!

Spud, Keeper of Stories

My Pond character is named Spud and they’re the Keeper of Stories (a little archivist of their own, and a name that fits with my blog name). Spud is an orange fox who loves to grow many things, including potatoes. They’re new to the pond but always happy to help, and we’re both so excited for the gardening adventures ahead and the chance to make new friends!

My Pondathon TBR

I don’t have any specific TBR for this readathon, besides my 2022 Chosen TBR as this one will go all year. Perhaps as new quests are announced I’ll choose specific books but for now it’s whatever happens!
