Time for another check-in to see how the last month went! I’ve been in a bit of a reading slump even though I’m reading some great books, so I hope my motivation improves over this next month. Template for this feature inspired by Jenna @ Falling Letters!
Books finished:
- You Have a Match by Emma Lord
- The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde
- Yesterday is History by Kosoko Jackson
Books reviewed:

- Super Fake Love Song by David Yoon
- The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
- Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik
- You Have a Match by Emma Lord
- (Trust) Falling for You by Charish Reid
Discussion posts:
- Talked about some backlist books written before I was born for Top Ten Tuesday
- Joined in WWW Wednesday to share an update on my current reads
- Featured more Beautiful Bookstores, this time focusing on British Columbia
- More Top Ten Tuesday fun with some Valentine’s inspired reads
- Shared some ideas for the new blog logo
- And some stream of consciousness life updates featuring sunny adventures
Challenges check-in:
- 0/13 books read from my 2021 Chosen TBR
- 0/4 read from my 2020 Chosen TBR
- 0/5+ read from books I own
- 4/10+ read from my TBR
- 227/150 books on my Goodreads TBR
In the book community:
- Marie @ Drizzle & Hurricane Books just started an exciting new feature where book bloggers are invited to talk about various topics around blogging, starting with a really big question on the future of book blogs
- Serena and Emily @ The Mindful Rambler shared how they planned a virtual trip to Quebec that felt almost like the real thing, complete with train rides, tours, and walks through the snowy streets
Upcoming in March:
- A very special Music Monday!
- Some more reviews (provided my reading picks up again)
- Hopefully some more design updates
My reads and reviews definitely went down this month, though that Goodreads TBR keeps climbing! I’ve been catching up on a lot of ARCs so I haven’t done much with my TBRs for the year but soon I hope to start prioritizing those. Just need to finish my 4 current reads first.
Was February a good reading month for you?
What are you looking forward to in March?

Thanks so much for sharing our article on virtual travel during COVID, Sam! And I haven’t read The Canterville Ghost but I’m a huge fan of Wilde. I’ll have to add it to my list!

It was my first by Wilde besides seeing The Importance of Being Earnest performed, but I’d love to read more of his works

You might in a reading slump, but at least you were productive with reviews! I still need to get to Song of Achilles. I keep putting it off.

I’d love to hear your thoughts when you do! Mini reviews have really been helping me these days
